An eventful race around the Indianapolis road course resulted in Alex Palou winning his first race of the 2023 season. The 2021 champion finished a massive 16.8 seconds ahead of second place.

The race wasn’t that straightforward, however, and it was only in the final stint that Palou was able to pull away from the polesitter Christian Lundgaard and others in the mix.

Arrow McLaren had a banner day, securing three of the top five positions. Pato O’Ward and Alexander Rossi were on the podium, and Felix Rosenqvist came home in fifth.

There were a couple small incidents in the opening laps that took some of the series’ younger drivers out of contention, but the rest of the race saw clean racing with no interruptions in the action.
