Motorsport Media Services Ltd is looking to appoint a new Editor to oversee our stable of MotorsportWeek.com and Motorsport Monday. In this role, the ideal candidate will work with a group of writers to oversee the production of daily news articles, features across varying disciplines of racing and guide the weekly magazine content as well as create their own content for both the website and magazine.

At MotorsportWeek.com and Motorsport Monday, we don’t just cover Formula 1-related content; within our team are talented writers that focus on categories such as IndyCar, Formula E, MotoGP, WRC and WEC, among others. In-depth features also play an important part of how series are covered.

With motorsport being such a wide industry that has a worldwide foothold, we pride ourselves on being able to bring our readers up-to-date stories for every type of motorsport fan. As such, the candidate is expected to have practical knowledge and interest in these categories.

The ideal candidate will be required to liaise with these writers on a daily basis to ensure the consistent upkeep of content, discuss article ideas and subedit the content that is drafted.

As this is a full-time role, the candidate must have previous extensive experience within motorsport journalism.

Relevant skills for this role:

Confident communication abilities, written, online and in-person

English as a first language standard

Be able to organise and maintain an active live calendar

Team leadership is essential, previous team leadership an advantage

Manage high-intensity situations and able to delegate accordingly

Navigating WordPress, DropBox and must be MS Office capable

Adobe Suite (PhotoShop and InDesign) abilities an distinct advantage

Minimum required experience: At least 3 years of consistently published work in the motorsport journalism industry. Applications that fall under this threshold will not be considered.

Job Location: Remote, but regular office days in Brackley and event attendance will be part of the job, hence preference will be given to UK-based applicants
