Frederic Vasseur has confirmed Ferrari has adjusted its developmental philosophy after a difficult start to the new Formula 1 campaign. The Scuderia was Red Bull’s nearest challenger last term with Charles Leclerc the primary rival to Max Verstappen for the first half of the season. But operational issues, driver errors and a lack of reliability left Ferrari’s title aspirations in tatters with hope renewed that a new charge could be made this term. But tyre degradation issues and further reliability pain in the first three races have resulted in a general lack of competitiveness, with Leclerc and Carlos Sainz last in the battle for best-of-the-rest with Aston Martin and Mercedes without a podium.
