Round 20 of 22 in the current Formula 1 season sees the final leg
in the Americas triple-header takes place at Interlagos for the Sao
Paulo Grand Prix. The race has not been formally known as the
Brazilian Grand Prix since 2019, with a new contract coming into
force in 2021 highlighting the support of the Sao Paulo authorities
as the track staved off a threat from Rio de Janeiro. George
Russell enters as the defending race winner, having taken a maiden
Grand Prix victory in last season’s race – Mercedes’ sole victory
